Manuel Fontes
Manny was raised in Escalon, California and has been singing since he was about 25 years old. He sang for his first band, Kultura for 3 years prior to joining Sem Dúvida.
Manny has been with Sem Dúvida for about 12 years. Manny isn't only a singer, but also a song writer as he has written some of Sem Dúvida's originals.
In addition to singing and writing, Manny has been involved with the Azores Band of Escalon for about 28 years.
Mario Silva
Mario Silva has been playing guitar and singing for over 30 years. He has played with several bands within the last several years, including Illusion, before founding Sem Dúvida in 1990. Mario plays a key part in Sem Dúvida's sound as not only the guitarist, but also with his backing vocals. Mario is the only original Sem Dúvida member in the current line up.
Mario is also Sem Dúvida's technical engineer. Because if something can go wrong...it will, but Mario can fix it.
When not playing music, Mario enjoys spending time camping with his wife Gloria and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Joseph Rocha
Joseph (age 23) is from Modesto, California and is a University of California, Merced Alumni. Joseph is a true musician as he plays several different instruments, including guitar, trumpet (or just about any brass instrument), piano, and drums. Joseph didn't have to go far to pick up his musicianship as his father, Joe Rocha is also a very talented drummer, and former original member of Sem Dúvida. While Joe Sr. was in the band, Joseph often stood next to him on stage playing other percussion instruments and perfecting his craft.
Richard Manuel
Richard was born in Hanford, California and grew up in the Central California Valley. Richard began playing music when he was about 2 years old, starting on an old organ, working his way up to a small Casio keyboard when he was 9, and ultimately playing piano in High School. Richard also learned guitar when he was 14 years old.
While in high school, Richard played guitar and keys in a party band with his friends, playing songs from bands like Weezer, 311, Nirvana, Three Doors Down, and Journey. After high school he and his friends started a band called Açoriano where he played keyboards and guitar for about 2 years. Richard joined Sem Dúvida in 2013 where he plays keyboards. Richard also enjoys spending time with his family when not playing music.
Joseph Sousa
Joesph is a talented musician, not only does he play bass, but also plays the guitara in Fado's. He was raised in the Turlock, California area and currently resides in Hilmar, California. Joseph teaches Portuguese 1,2, and 3 at Turlock High School.
Prior to joining Sem Dúvida, Joseph played bass for Macacada, a Portuguese-American band. When not playing with Sem Dúvida or teaching, Joseph also plays bass with his American rock cover band, "Make N' Noise.
Daniel Picanço
Daniel has been with Sem Duvida for several years. Prior to becoming a permanent member, Daniel use to sit in with Sem Dúvida on trumpet or trombone when needed. Daniel not only plays trumpet, but also the French Horn, tuba, and other brass instruments. Daniel plays a huge part in Sem Dúvida's sound as when he's not playing the horn, he is either singing backing vocals, fine tuning our live sound, or playing percussion instruments.
When not playing with Sem Dúvida, Daniel also plays in the Nova Allianca Band of San Jose, an organization he has been a part of for several years. In addition, he also enjoys spending time with his wife Ashley and son Tiago.
Nicholas Picanço
Nicholas is a true musician at heart as he can play just about any brass instrument, along with piano, guitar, and accordion. When not playing music with Sem Dúvida, Nicholas plays music with the Nova Allianca band of San Jose.
When not playing music, Nicholas enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, and family, including his little nephew Tiago.
Miles Wampler
Miles was raised in Escalon California and still lives nearby. He has been playing trombone since high school. Prior to joining Sem Dúvida, Miles played trombone in several bands, including the Portuguese-American band, Alma.
When not playing music, Miles enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters.
